Check the background of this investment professional on FINRA’s BrokerCheck.
Instead of pursuing law school after his undergraduate degree in political science, Luke Strom took a job in the insurance industry. He became fascinated by all the methods to help clients plan for their financial security. In his prior role at a local Fortune 500 insurance company, Luke served over 2,000 employees internally as the in-house financial advisor; meanwhile, he was building his own financial planning business.
As a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional with a knack for problem solving, Luke enjoys taking data and transforming it into relatable action steps for financial planning. He has an easy manner with people and a true interest in finding just the right pieces for each plan.
Luke became a CFP® in 2019 and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He also holds his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation, and achieved his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) credential to focus on advanced financial planning.

Luke Strom is a born-and-raised Minnesotan from Minneapolis, and he plans to keep it that way. He and his wife love to be outdoors fishing, canoeing and camping, plus playing with their two cockapoos, Tui and Koa. Their dogs were named after favorite memories on a trip to New Zealand. He likes to be on the move, just like Amelia in our office.
Luke and his wife became parents to their beautiful daughter, London Claire Strom, in 2019. After playing soccer throughout his high school and college days, Luke still enjoys playing from time to time and has spent time coaching with various high school programs as well as serving as an assistant coach for his alma matter, Gustavus Adolphus College.
It’s not hard to get Luke talking, so ask about his long list of travel dreams.
“Besides traveling, we want to be true Minnesota residents and own a dream lake house. That way, we can also vacation at home.”
